Go through the interview process.
Over. And over. And over.
Have four interviews with one company. After the last one, they pick the “other candidate.” Tell yourself it’s because they had a diversity requirement to fulfill.
Curse the original company that brought you out here, only to rescind on the job offer / position. Dread doing contract or freelance assignments. Tell yourself that perhaps the people of Denver are better about listening and paying you, though.
Note that you haven’t written anything new in almost a year. Sit down and try to edit your thesis/memoir. Close the computer immediately after every time you open it.
Listen to a lot of Third Eye Blind. (HOWWWW’S IT GONNA BE?!)
Begin a contract research assignment assessing the marketing techniques of a fitness company. Decide to train for a 5K as part of the research.
Wash, rinse, repeat (but only every 3 days because it’s quite dry out here.)
This isn’t photoshopped. The capitol building of Denver really does get lit up like this. So cool.

JUSTICE WILL BE SERVED!
This is my “new” car that I bought 2 weeks ago. I just moved to Denver, CO, and some asshole stole it last night. Hopefully, it’s still in the city/state area. It’s a bright red ‘99 Jeep Cherokee with an Alabama tag on the back and a “Gulf Chrysler” white tag on the front. Please reblog this picture if you know people in the Denver area! Thanks!!
